Summary of technology learned

Here is a summary of the technology we covered at our April 3rd session: 

  • Collaborative concept mapping software: Mind42
  • Download YouTube videos to your computer: Save Vid
  • Download online videos to external storage server: Zamzar
  • Collaborative document, PowerPoints presentation, and spreadsheets: Google Docs.
  • Free blogging: Blogger
  • Wiki: Wikispaces
  • Social networking: Facebook & Ning
  • Calls to computers and telephones, video chat, creating collaborative spaces: Skype

    I forgot to mention that I had used Skype this year already. Our area schools have a partnership with a school in Denmark. When our staff members were visiting Denmark, my class Skyped in a couple of different times. We were able to view their hotel room and the classroom from which they Skyped us. It was so incredible!!!
